Acneic/Problem Skin
Acne affects millions of men and women and can occur at any age. It is seen most commonly during, but not exclusively in, the teenage years. Acne can show up as blackheads and whiteheads, and in more severe cases, cysts and pustules. Overactive sebaceous glands (oily skin), hormonal changes, stress, heredity, and improper care of the skin are its main causes.
Photo-Aged/Photodamaged Skin
Staying out in the sun too long and frequent use of tanning beds can cause skin cells to break down. The result can be wrinkles, discoloration, and lost elasticity in the skin, as well as cell abnormalities.
Rosacea/Acne Rosacea
Rosacea is a condition characterized by redness in the center of the face. Acne rosacea usually appears around the nose and cheeks. Symptoms of both conditions include skin sensitivity and inflammation caused by congested skin and dilated capillaries. |
